Ingredients:

For Schezwan Stir-Fry:
  • 200g noodles (boiled and drained) or 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium capsicum, julienned
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1/2 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2-3 tablespoons Wok & Roll Schezwan Masala
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce (optional for extra spice)
  • Spring onions, chopped, for garnish
Optional Add-Ons:
  • 200g chicken, shrimp, or tofu, cooked (optional)
  • Fried egg, for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Noodles or Rice
  1. If using noodles, boil them as per the package instructions. Drain and toss with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  2. If using rice, ensure it’s cooked and cooled to avoid clumping during stir-frying.
2. Stir-Fry the Vegetables
  1. Heat oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies (if using). Stir-fry until aromatic.
  3. Toss in the onions, capsicum, carrot, and cabbage. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp.
3. Add the Schezwan Masala Magic
  1. Lower the heat slightly and add Wok & Roll Schezwan Masala. Mix well to coat the veggies evenly.
  2. Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, and chili sauce (if desired). Cook for 1-2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
4. Combine Everything
  1. Add the cooked noodles or rice to the wok. Toss thoroughly to ensure every strand or grain is coated with the Schezwan goodness.
  2. If adding chicken, shrimp, or tofu, mix it in now and cook for another 2 minutes.
5. Garnish and Serve
  1. Sprinkle chopped spring onions over the dish for a fresh finish.
  2. Serve hot as a standalone meal or alongside other Chinese-style dishes.

Other Ways to Use Schezwan Masala:

  • Snacks: Sprinkle over French fries, popcorn, or nachos for a spicy snack upgrade.
  • Marinade: Mix with soy sauce and oil to create a fiery marinade for chicken, tofu, or paneer.
  • Soup or Gravy: Stir a teaspoon into soups or gravies for added depth and heat.

Pro Tips for Perfect Schezwan Dishes:

  • Keep the veggies slightly crunchy for a restaurant-style texture.
  • Adjust the amount of Schezwan Masala based on your spice tolerance.
  • Add a fried egg or crispy fried onions for an extra layer of indulgence.
